BREAKING: Another Attack on ICE Facility, Gunshots Fired into Texas Building

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, an unidentified individual fired a volley of gunshots into an ICE office building in San Antonio, Texas.

According to authorities, no one was injured in the attack, which took place at around 3 AM, although at least one person was reported to have been inside the building at the time of the shooting.

Reports indicate that the shooter also fired at an adjacent building, luckily not harming anyone.

Quickly, local police apprehended a suspect, who remains unidentified as of the time of this article, with the FBI taking control of the case shortly after.

As of Tuesday afternoon, details remain scarce, as both local and federal authorities have taken a tight-lipped approach to discussing the incident pending the investigation.

The FBI’s agent in charge of the shooting called the attack “cowardly, brazen, violent acts – absolutely without justification, and a threat to our entire community.”

“An attempt to attack federal employees is a federal crime with serious consequences,” added the FBI official, who vowed the agency will “relentlessly pursue every lead in this case.”

In response to the shooting, ICE issued a statement condemning the attack, which the agency attributed to “Political rhetoric and misinformation that various politicians, media outlets, and activist groups” have repeatedly spread about federal immigration officers.

“This disturbing public discourse shrouds our critical law enforcement function, and unnecessarily puts our officers’ safety at risk,” the agency stated.

While law enforcement has not officially declared a motive in the attack, an unidentified former immigration officer later stated “Democrats have been spewing this hatred that causes these incidents,” adding, “It invokes violence.”

“More and more events like this are taking place, and it’s starting to show a pattern,” explained the former immigration official, a reference to the growing number of attacks against ICE facilities.

In fact, since July, there have been at least four attacks on ICE facilities in the US, which occurred in Colorado, Washington state, Washington DC, and Texas.

The apparent rise in violence directed specifically at ICE has prompted conservative pundits to speculate whether there is a relationship between the continued attacks and Democrats’ repeated condemnation of the federal immigration agency.

Ken Cuccinelli, the acting Director of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) shared a picture of bullet holes in the window of the ICE facility in Texas, vowing to “stand with [ICE] as they work to enforce our laws and keep Americans safe!”

Tuesday’s early-morning attack on the Texas ICE office came less than a day after President Trump unveiled new changes to the “public charge” rule, which would prevent migrants incapable of self sufficiency from obtaining permanent US citizenship.

Additionally, the brazen attack echoes previous violence against ICE coming from left-wing groups, including the deadly attempted firebombing in Tacoma, Washington, in July.

In that attack, 69-year-old Willem Van Spronsen, a self-avowed Antifa activist with a history of violence against law enforcement, was killed after engaging in a violent confrontation at an ICE detention facility.

Armed with a rifle and flares, Van Spronsen attempted to set fire to the building, and managed to incinerate a vehicle used by ICE before being shot dead.

In a manifesto written shortly before his attack, Van Spronsen urged fellow liberals to follow his violent example while referring to ICE detention facilities as “concentration camps,” rhetoric espoused by prominent Democrats including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Following his death, Van Spronsen was eulogized by fellow Antifa members and other far-left radicals, who openly hoped his example would “serve as a call to protest and direct action.”

Ocasio-Cortez and her Democrat colleagues have repeatedly likened ICE and other law enforcement agencies handling the influx of illegal aliens to WWII-era Nazi forces, leading many to hold them directly responsible for the spate of violent attacks.

With at least four attacks against ICE having occurred since July of 2019, Democrats, celebrities, and other activists calling for “action” against the agency while making comparisons to Nazi-era concentration camps are facing mounting scrutiny.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Ocasio-Cortez and other Democrats have largely remained silent on the shooting, which the FBI later declared a “targeted attack.”
