Last week, Israel blocked the visit of Rep Omar and Tlaib after President Trump tweeted his belief that the two Congresswomen are a “disgrace.”

Monday, Omar and Tlaib will be holding a press conference to discuss their travel restriction.
Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu explained in a Twitter thread why Omar and Tlaib were banned.
Among the shocking revelations, the two lawmakers listed their destination as “Palestine” and not “Israel”
Netanyahu came to the conclusion that the sole purpose of their visit was to strengthen a boycott against Israel’s existence.

In fact, in the past the US did this to an Israeli member of Knesset, as well as to other public figures from around the world. Congresswomen Tlaib and Omar are leading activists in promoting the legislation of boycotts against Israel in the American Congress.
Only a few days ago, we received their itinerary for their visit in Israel, which revealed that they planned a visit whose sole objective is to strengthen the boycott against us and deny Israel’s legitimacy.
For instance: they listed the destination of their trip as Palestine and not Israel, and unlike all Democratic and Republican members of Congress who have visited Israel, they did not request to meet any Israeli officials, either from the government or the opposition.
A week ago, Israel warmly welcomed some 70 Democratic and Republican members of Congress, who expressed broad bipartisan support for Israel, which was also demonstrated a month ago in a resounding bipartisan vote against BDS in Congress.
However, the itinerary of the two Congresswomen reveals that the sole purpose of their visit is to harm Israel and increase incitement against it.
In addition, the organization that is funding their trip is Miftah, which is an avid supporter of BDS, and among whose members are those who have expressed support for terrorism against Israel.
Therefore, the minister of interior has decided not to allow their visit, and I, as prime minister, support his decision.

Minnesota U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar and Michigan U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib will host a news conference Monday afternoon at the Minnesota State Capitol to address travel restrictions to the Palestinian territories and Israel and potential policy responses.
The conference comes just days after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to block the two congresswomen from entering the country for an official visit.
Netanyahu previously approved Omar and Tlaib’s visit, planned for this past weekend, then reversed that decision shortly after President Donald Trump tweeted on Thursday that “It would show great weakness if Israel allowed Rep. Omar and Rep. Tlaib to visit.”
Netanyahu then issued a statement calling Omar and Tlaib “leading activists in promoting the legislation of boycotts against Israel in the American Congress.”
In a statement, Omar called Netanyahu’s decision an “affront.”
Tlaib, who is the child of Palestinian immigrants, wrote to Israeli officials with a request to visit relatives on the West Bank, agreeing not to promote boycotts against Israel during her stay.
Her request was granted on humanitarian grounds, but she tweeted on Friday that the conditions of the visit were “against everything I believe in” and that she would not make the trip.
Omar and Tlaib are the first two Muslim women in Congress.
Both support the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, which aims to put economic pressure on Israel to improve its treatment of Palestinians.
The news conference is set for 3 p.m. at the Capitol in St. Paul. The event will include three other Minnesota residents who have been affected by travel restrictions.
