WATCH: Beto Claims America “Was Founded on Racism

On Sunday, Texas Democrat and 2020 presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke took to social media to share a clip from a recent speech, in which he boldly declared America’s roots to stem from racism.

O’Rourke stated that America “was founded on racism, has persisted through racism, and is still racist today.”

The would-be White House contender went on to denounce white Americans for being more wealthy than black Americans while implying that the US imprisons minorities at a disproportional rate, which he attributed to racism.

In a fiery speech, O’Rourke condemned America for having “kidnapped” African slaves, whose ancestors he claimed were denied the opportunity to succeed, another claim which was also chalked up to what he said amounted to racism.

O’Rourke went on to blame President Trump and his administration, who he accused of having “invited racism out into the open.”

The Texas politician appeared to smirk to himself as he denounced Trump’s policies as racist, alleging that US citizens are responsible for more crimes than illegal migrants, and repeatedly insinuating that white Americans who supported Trump are to blame.

For Democrats, including many prominent 2020 hopefuls, the subject of race and racism appears to remain something of a crutch.

As Congressional Democrats, Senators, and others continue to assert their beliefs that America is locked in a race-related crisis, their general message is lost amid many who have had enough.

Democrat lawmakers such as Shelia Jackson Lee, Stacey Abrams, Ilhan Omar, and several others have continuously blamed election losses and criticism coming from Republicans on racism, while repeatedly labeling President Trump and those who support him as guilty.

In recent months, Democrat presidential candidates have also jumped on the racial bandwagon, vowing to combat what they continue to claim is a country rooted in racism.

Former Vice President and 2020 Democrat frontrunner Joe Biden accused Trump of fueling “white supremacy,” while Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg, Kirsten Gillibrand, Bernie Sanders, and Beto O’Rourke have all brazenly declared Trump to be a white supremacist.

Julian Castro, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, and other Democrats seeking the White House in 2020 have made similar remarks regarding President Trump and his supporters.

As these Democrats continue to brand the president and the half of the country who supports him as racists.

Now, as Beto O’Rourke ups the ante for his Democrat competition, others will almost surely continue taking their claims of racism in America further, putting them in a position that will only further alienate potential voters.
