WATCH: El Paso Mayor Confirms “Multiple Fatalities” and “Multiple Shooters” in Custody

El Paso’s mayor confirmed there are ‘multiple fatalities’ in a shopping center shooting, and ‘multiple shooters’ are in custody.

Per Greenville Online, as hooting at the Walmart in the Cielo Vista Mall area has left multiple people dead, an El Paso police offisaid Saturday.

An El Paso police officer at the scene said there were multiple fatalities in the attack, although the number was not confirmed. He said the number was not official, but he had been inside the store.

Police say there were reports of multiple shooters in the attack.

A spokesman for University Medical Center of El Paso said the hospital has received victims from the shooting, but did not have a number.

Extra security is at UMC, where worried relatives have begun arriving.

More than a dozen family members, with worried looks on their faces, were in the UMC waiting room. The hospital is bringing in more staff to deal with the emergency.

A worker at a hospital near the mall who was not working Saturday said he called in to see if help was needed and was told 30 victims had been taken to the hospital.

El Paso Police say the shooter is still active at Cielo Vista in El Paso which sits on the USA-Mexico border. At least eighteen people have been shot – with at least one killed – after an active shooter opened fire at a Walmart.
