Earlier in the week, a pair of New York City police officers were approached by a man who proceeded to douse them with water, the third known occurrence of such an incident in the city.
The incident occurred in the Woodhaven district, with other officers being soaked with water by individuals in the Brooklyn and Harlem areas.
As many as ten similar incidents have been reported, leaving law enforcement officials outraged and determined to take steps to increase penalties for anyone spraying water or other substances on uniformed officers.
NYPD continue their search for the most recent perpetrator, who was clearly captured on video as shown below.
