President Trump: “IF YOU CAN PROTEST IN PERSON, YOU CAN VOTE IN PERSON!”

President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday with a series of tweets, reacting to a viral image on social media that shows Goodyear Tire had banned employees from wearing MAGA attire and more. He also weighed in on protesters and voting.

“Don’t buy GOODYEAR TIRES – They announced a BAN ON MAGA HATS,” the Commander in Chief declared. “Get better tires for far less! (This is what the Radical Left Democrats do. Two can play the same game, and we have to start playing it now!)”.

President Trump’s official tweet:

The image on social media features a Goodyear employee diversity training program slide showing that “Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter, MAGA Attire, Political Affiliated Slogans or Material” were “unacceptable” while support for “Black Lives Matter (BLM), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride (LGBT)” was acceptable, Breitbart reported.

According to the employee who took the photo of the slide, it was presented at the Topeka plant by an area manager and says the slide came from their corporate office out of Akron, Ohio, reported WIBW.

Goodyear spokeswoman Melissa Monaco said in a statement: “Goodyear is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace where all of our associates can do their best in a spirit of teamwork. As part of this commitment, we do allow our associates to express their support on racial injustice and other equity issues but ask that they refrain from workplace expressions, verbal or otherwise, in support of political campaigning for any candidate or political party as well as other similar forms of advocacy that fall outside the scope of equity issues.” Continued Below

In another tweet, the Commander in Chief announced: “IF YOU CAN PROTEST IN PERSON, YOU CAN VOTE IN PERSON!”

On Saturday, protesters gathered out of USPS postmaster general Louis DeJoy’s home in Washington, D.C.

Last week, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci said there is “no reason” Americans can’t vote in person for the 2020 presidential election, so long as voters follow proper social distancing guidelines amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“I think if carefully done, according to the guidelines, there’s no reason that I can see why that not be the case,” Fauci told ABC News’s Deborah Roberts during a National Geographic event that aired Thursday. “For example, you know, when you look at going to a grocery store now in many regions and counties and cities that are doing it correctly, they have X’s every six or more feet.”

“And it says, ‘Don’t leave this spot until the person in front of you left their spot.’ And you can do that, if you go and wear a mask, if you observe the physical distancing, and don’t have a crowded situation, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to do that,” Fauci said.

Dr. Fauci added that those “compromised physically or otherwise” who do not wish to vote in-person can use mail-in voting. “So there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to vote in person or otherwise,” he said. Continued Below

“Why are Republicans allowing the Democrats to have ridiculous Post Office hearings on Saturday & Monday, just before and during our Convention[?] Let them hold them NOW (during their Convention) or after our Convention is over. Always playing right into their hands! @senatemajldr”, the president also tweeted.

Amid the upcoming November election, Democrats leaders are calling for Postmaster General Louis DeJoy and USPS Board of Governors Chair Robert Duncan to testify before the Congress, accusing the Postmaster of trying to “sabotage” the United States Postal Service, Swamp Drain reported.

Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform suddenly requested DeJoy and Duncan to testify at an “urgent hearing” before the Committee on August 24. Continued Below

In another tweet, the President wrote, “With what I am doing in the fight with the Drug Companies, drug prices will be coming down 50, 60, and even 70 per cent. The Democrats are fighting hard to stop me with big ad buys, plus. Likewise, Big Pharma.”

“FAVORED NATIONS AND REBATES ARE BRINGING PRICES DOWN NOW. We will win!” he declared.

Earlier in the year, President Trump signed multiple executive orders aimed at lowering the cost of prescription drugs such as insulin.

He also signed an executive order called “Lowering Drug Prices By Putting America First,” in July.
