Candace Owens in Fiery Exchange During Panel on White Supremacy “You tried to manipulate what I said to fit your narrative”

Conservative black icon Candace Owens engaged in a fiery exchange during a congressional panel on White Supremacy.

Per TheHill, Conservative commentator Candace Owens told a House committee on Friday that white supremacist-inspired crimes in the U.S. are not “impacting” minority communities, telling lawmakers that other problems such as black-on-black crime are greater issues.

During a House Oversight Joint Subcommittee hearing, Owens, who is black, said that white supremacy would not make her list of the top 100 issues facing her community and other communities of color in the U.S.

“Based on the hierarchy of what’s impacting minority Americans, if I had to make a list of 100 things, white nationalism would not make the list,” Owens said Friday.

“White supremacy and white nationalism is not a problem that is harming Black America,” she continued.

Per BizPacReview, an attempt by a white liberal “elite” to shame and defame firebrand conservative activist Candace Owens, a black woman, during a House Oversight and Government Reform hearing Friday on the alleged threat of white supremacy to minority communities backfired spectacularly.

The white liberal, “researcher” Kathleen Belew, had taken issue with Owens mocking the “ironic” and “hilarious” nature of the hearing on white supremacy.

Listen to Owens’ rebuttal below:

“You know exactly what I meant when I said hilarious,” she said. “You just tried to do live what the media does all the time to Republicans, to our president, and to conservatives.”

“You tried to manipulate what I said to fit your narrative. The audacity of you bringing up the Christchurch killer and manifesto and make it seem like I laughed at people who were slaughtered by a homicidal maniac is in my opinion absolutely despicable. And I think that we should be above that.”

She concluded by slamming Democrats for holding a “farce” hearing.

“This hearing in my opinion is a farce,” she said. “And it is ironic that you are sitting here and having three Caucasian people here to testify and tell you what their expertise are.”

“Do you know what my expertise are? Black in America. I’ve been black in America my whole life, all 30 years and I can tell you, you guys have done the exact same thing ever 4 years.”
