Actress-turned-activist Alyssa Milano, who was criticized for her continued support of presumed 2020 Democratic nominee Joe Biden amid sexual assault allegations levied by Tara Reade, may have changed her tune in a Monday night tweet, Fox News reported.
Earlier in the month, however, Milano spoke with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM 102 and explained why she was staying quiet about the sexual assault allegation against Joe Biden.
“I explained my silence on the allegations against Joe Biden in this clip. I am still endorsing @JoeBiden. Listen to this clip to find out why. #MeToo #TimesUp,” Alyssa Milano tweeted on April 6, and attached her interview with Andy Cohen.
“I just don’t feel comfortable throwing away a decent man that I’ve known for 15 years in this time of complete chaos without there being a thorough investigation and I’m sure that the mainstream media would be jumping all over this… if they found more evidence through their investigation. So I’m just sort of staying quiet about it,” Milano had told Cohen.
Following the new Tara Reade developments that have surfaced against Joe Biden, Milano broke her silence Monday on Twitter.
“I’m aware of the new developments in Tara Reade’s accusation against Joe Biden. I want Tara, like every other survivor, to have the space to be heard and seen without being used as fodder,” Milano tweeted. “I hear and see you, Tara. #MeToo”. Continued Below

The “new developments” are presumably Reade’s former neighbor, and a self-described supporter of Biden, telling Business Insider that she was told about the allegations decades ago, and the emergence of a 1993 CNN clip that seemingly featured Reade’s late mother calling into “Larry King Live” and alluding to her daughter’s time working for the then-senator, Fox News reported.
During an interview with Fox News, Tara Reade had criticized Alyssa Milano prior to the actress’ tweet on Monday.
“I think we need to compare how she responded to Brett Kavanaugh… quite different than the talking points she [used] regarding Joe Biden. She never reached out to me. I don’t really want to amplify her voice because I feel like she hijacked my narrative for a while and framed it about herself… she knows nothing about it,” Reade said when asked about Milano. Meanwhile, others called out Milano for her inconsistency:
I’m old enough to remember when you called @ReadeAlexandra a smear campaign. Fuck you, Alyssa. https://t.co/j0KiaDd1J7 pic.twitter.com/OJNrAwWgCF

Rose McGowen, another actress-turned-activist, and a victim of disgraced film mogul and convicted sexual predator Harvey Weinstein, also called out Milano on Twitter.
“You are a fraud,” she tweeted. “This is about holding the media accountable. You go after Trump & Kavanaugh saying Believe Victims, you are a lie. You have always been a lie. The corrupt DNC is in on the smear job of Tara Reade, so are you. SHAME.”
