Speaking from the White House on Friday, President Trump responded to the media and Democrats’ continued focus on alleged poor conditions within US detention facilities holding illegal aliens.
“I think they do a great job with those facilities, but you know how it can be taken care of?” asked Trump, going on to explain “Tell them not to come, because it’s illegal.”
Trump continued on to discuss planned immigration raids targeting illegal aliens who have refused deportation orders, “We’re removing people that have come in illegally,” adding, “We are removing them, and bringing them back into their country.”
In recent weeks, prominent Democrats including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have increasingly condemned US immigration agencies, alleging mistreatment of detained illegal aliens and poor conditions in the facilities, which have been strongly refuted.
