Recently, the group Campus Reform headed to a university campus to ask students about an immigration-related quote from former President Barack Obama, and received some interesting results.
Students were shown a quote from Obama, “We are a nation of laws. Undocumented workers broke our laws and I believe they must be held accountable, especially those who may be dangerous. That’s why over the past 6 years deportations of criminals are up 80%”
In response, most of the students immediately attributed the quote to President Trump, with one stating,”I think that policy comes from a place of white American nationalism.”
However, upon learning of the quote’s true origins, the liberal students were taken aback, appearing disheartened and shocked.
