So here’s a wrap-up of what we’ve seen tonight:
Joe Biden has won a landslide victory tonight in South Carolina, powered by the support of African American voters.
Bernie Sanders is on track for a second place finish.
After a disappointing finish tonight – he is on pace to finish third, but short of the 15% delegate threshold – Tom Steyer is dropping out of the race.
Pete Buttigieg is a distant 4th tonight, but his exceptionally weak performance among African American voters raises serious questions about his viability going forward.
This was also a disappointing night for Elizabeth Warren, who in 5th place in single digits, and Amy Klobuchar, who trails Warren.
